Ibrahim is Rector of Universitas Bangka Belitung, Bangka, Indonesia. He is an Associate Professor at Political Science Department, Faculty of Politics and Social Sciences, Universitas Bangka Belitung. He is also The Head of Indonesian Political Science Association (AIPI) Chapter Bangka Belitung and Dean of Faculty of Politics and Social Sciences, Universitas Bangka Belitung from 2014 to 2020. He completed his formal education until senior high school in Bangka Island and continuously obtained his Bachelor in Philosophy (2004), Master in Political Science (2006), Doctor in Philosophy (2012), and Doctor in Political Science (2014) from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia.
